Our Farm
Housed on 93 acres and owned by Bloomfield Hills Schools since 1967. Animals such as sheep, horses, cattle, and goats graze the pastures along with acres of vegetable production, community gardens, and curated horticultural gardens.
Our mission is to cultivate community through education and engagement with agriculture and the local food system.
The authenticity of a small-scale working farm connects students and the community to where their food comes from. Learning comes alive with meaning and purpose as we welcome every learner to discover and wonder in the world around them. Bowers School Farm has something to explore each season!

If you have a quilt that's been sitting in the closet waiting to be given new purpose - consider donating it to Bowers School Farm! We are looking for quilted blankets (non knit so they're easy to wash), so that guests can "Borrow a Blanket" at our upcoming Farm After Five summer series. Any size will do. We'll have a collection bin in our Visitors Center during store hours Friday 9am-8pm and Saturday 9am - 4pm. Thank you!

We know you’ve been wondering… and YES — we are open this weekend!
If electronic beats aren’t quite your vibe (cheers to you, Movement Festival!) and you’re craving something a little more low key, come join us on the farm. 🌾
Whether it’s fresh air, good vibes, or a little Farm Fix you’re after — we’ve got you. 💚 Swing by, slow down, and soak it all in.
🐓 Open Barn Hours:

See you on the Farm!

Everything Harvest:

We finished the big task of planting the hoophouse with summer crops. Scroll to see the process. It’s a lot of work to pull out the winter crops, reset the beds, set up irrigation, and replant. But it will be worth it when we taste those early tomatoes 🍅

Sign up for 2025 Harvest Club is now open! The new version aims to simplify and streamline the process (including check out in the store) but the intention behind it is still the same - be a part of our community and support local, regenerative ag.
