2026 Spring Break Camp

Day 5: Farm Show Fun, Horse Adventures & A Fantastic Finish!

What an amazing way to wrap up our final day of camp! Day 5 was packed with excitement, learning, and plenty of smiles as our campers celebrated all they experienced this week.

Our Farm Campers kicked off the day preparing for their much-anticipated Farm Show! Campers proudly shared what they’ve learned, showing off their knowledge of farm life and the skills they’ve practiced all week. From singing camp songs, animal care insights to hands-on experiences, it was wonderful to see their confidence shine.

The fun didn’t stop there! Campers also explored the Historic Log Cabin, where creativity and imagination took over. With Lincoln Logs, building projects, and birdhouse activities, campers embraced classic, hands-on fun while connecting with nature and simple farm living. Of course, we made time for some good old-fashioned farm fun, full of laughter and teamwork.

And to top it all off everyone joined in for some lively Cotton Eyed Joe dancing! The energy was high, the music was fun, and it was the perfect way to celebrate an unforgettable week together.

Meanwhile, our Horse Campers had an equally exciting final day with their own special Horse Show! Campers demonstrated their growing riding skills and confidence around the horses, showing just how much they’ve learned. My favorite way to wrap up horse camp!

They also spent time cleaning the pony pen, reinforcing the importance of responsibility and proper animal care an essential part of being around horses. Alongside all the hands-on horse fun, campers continued exploring the science behind horse care, learning more about behavior, health, and what keeps these amazing animals happy and strong.

It has been such a joy watching all of our campers learn, grow, and have fun this week. From farm adventures to horse discoveries, Day 5 was the perfect celebration of an incredible camp experience.

We are so proud of all our campers and can’t wait to see them again soon!

Until next time—keep exploring, learning, and having fun!

A special thank you to our Camper stewards this week: Elliott, Ellenor, Lillian, Maya, Fiona, Caitlyn and Kalia.

Thank you to our camp staff: Kristian, Amy, Shelly, Ranger and Dom!

Special Thanks from Ms. Lou

Spring Break Camp – Day 4: Animal Science Adventures (Rain or Shine!) 🌧️🐾🐴

A little rain couldn’t slow us down on Day 4 if anything, it made our Animal Science Day even more memorable!

We started the morning cozy and inspired with Black Beauty, learning about the lives and care of horses. Then campers got moving again by learning the lively dance Cotton Eyed Joe lots of laughter, stomping boots, and spinning all around!

At Farm Camp, it was a day full of hands-on discovery. Campers teamed up with Chef Kathy to cook up something special after reading Green Eggs and Ham. Using our very own farm-fresh eggs, they created their own version of green eggs and ham: fun, a little silly, and delicious!

The learning didn’t stop there. Farm campers stepped into the role of real animal scientists by creating and using an ethogram: a tool scientists use to observe and record animal behavior. They carefully watched animals and tracked what they saw, just like true researchers!

To wrap up the day, farm campers had some fun with Stem Science, trying to keep “Egg-bert” safe during the egg drop challenge.

Over at Horse Camp, the rain changed our plans but not our enthusiasm. While riding time was shortened, campers got a unique opportunity to try bareback riding with Clifford! It was a fun challenge that helped build balance, confidence, and trust.

Adding to the fun, campers got creative making their very own stick horses! With imagination leading the way, they designed and decorated their horses with unique colors, faces, and personalities. Soon enough, the farm was full of galloping campers, showing off their “rides” and creating their own mini horse adventures, no saddle required!

Rain or shine, Day 4 was packed with learning, laughter, building of friendships and new experiences. These campers continue to amaze us with their curiosity and adventurous spirit! 🌈

Spring Break Camp – Day 3: Outdoor Adventure Day! 🌿🔥🐴

Day 3 brought sunshine, fresh air, and a whole lot of adventure to our Spring Break Camp! We kicked things off with an all-camp favorite the Cha Cha Slide! Campers danced, laughed, and got their energy flowing for the exciting day ahead.

We embraced the great outdoors right away, gathering around the farm to warm up by the fire. Campers roasted marshmallows to gooey perfection and took turns trying their hand at archery showing off some impressive focus and skill!

At Farm Camp, the day was full of teamwork and creativity. After reading Stone Soup, campers worked together to chop vegetables and prepare their very own soup over the fire. Using vegetable broth, Bower Farm carrots fresh from the garden, celery, garlic, onion, and instant barley, they created a delicious meal that everyone was proud to share and enjoy together.

Meanwhile, over at Horse Camp, campers put their thinking caps on and designed their dream barns! They carefully considered all aspects of animal husbandry, including proper shelter, food and water access, storage needs, and cleaning supplies. Their thoughtful designs showed just how much they care about their horses’ well-being.

And we can’t forget the cuteness overload at Pony Camp! Campers delighted everyone with an adorable pony show, complete with songs and big smiles. They also demonstrated their growing confidence during a pony ride skills test, where families got to watch their campers ride!

From dancing and cooking to designing and riding, Day 3 was packed with hands-on fun and outdoor adventure. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings! 🌞

Day 2 at Camp: Worms, Whinnies, and Wonderful Farm Adventures! 🐛🐴🌱

What a joyful, sun-filled second day on the farm! We kicked things off in the silliest way possible gathered together singing Herman the Worm. There were giggles, dramatic “eating” motions, and lots of energy to start our day right! Followed by a gaint team building activity of the Human worm!

Farm Camp friends got their hands delightfully dirty digging in the garden with our amazing gardener, Patty. Did you know? Healthy soil is full of life just one teaspoon can contain millions of tiny organisms helping plants grow! After gardening, campers learned how to gently wash fresh eggs, prep them, and stock them in our very own farm store. (Be sure to check out our egg sale tomorrow Wednesday: 3 dozen for $20 🥚!) They also jumped right into real farm chores, learning how to care for animals like true little farmers.

Over in Garden Kitchen: Farm Camp and Pony Camp, creativity (and a little sweetness) took over as campers made healthy dirt cups layers of yogurt, oats, and gummy worms that looked just like the garden soil we explored earlier. Delicious and educational!

Meanwhile, Horse Camp kept the apple theme going strong by making homemade applesauce. Fun fact: horses LOVE apples, but they should always be cut into pieces to keep them safe while snacking just like we practiced caring for our horses today!

Horse campers also had a hands-on lesson learning the parts of a horse using our gentle farm horses, followed by practicing proper leading techniques. Confidence was growing just as much as their horsemanship skills!

Pony Camp had a cozy and sweet bunny circle time with a story time, then headed out to practice pony leading: taking their ponies on a walk around the farm like pros. Did you know ponies are just small horses, usually under 14.2 hands tall? But they are just as smart and hardworking!

And of course… riding time! Across all camps, riders continued building confidence, working on steering, and exploring new additions to our horse and pony obstacle course. It’s amazing to see how much bravery and growth can happen in just two days!

We’re so excited for tomorrow’s big event: our Pony Show starts at 1:30 PM! Get ready for smiles, proud riders, and lots of cheering. 🎉

Day 2 was full of learning, laughter, and a little bit of mud—just the way farm life should be. We can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

Making Friends & Meeting Animals: A Perfect First Day of Camp 🐴🌈🥚

Spring Break Camp is officially in full swing, and if your camper came home tired, chatty, and possibly wearing a bit of the farm, you’ll know why!

We kicked off the morning with camp spirit time, featuring the instant classic: “Sticky Sticky Waffles” 🧇🎶. Fun fact: camp songs are scientifically proven (okay… maybe just camp-proven) to get stuck in kids’ heads for at least 72 hours! From there, campers jumped into a bean bag toss name game, a ice breaker proven to get all the giggles and laughs started right away!

Then things got competitive, in the best way. Our team scavenger hunt had campers racing across the farm, working together to solve a mystery by collecting their team’s colored eggs 🥚🔍
Fun fact: Chickens can lay around 250–300 eggs a year… so our campers had plenty to hunt for inspiration!

After all that excitement, it was time to get creative with tie-dye 🌈
Fun fact: No two tie-dye designs are ever the same just like our campers!

One of the biggest highlights of the day was meeting our horses and ponies 🐴💛. Campers learned how to approach, pet, and ride them safely. Horses can recognize human emotions and even remember familiar people, so your camper may have already made a new four-legged best friend!

Our Farm Camp crew jumped right into chores like collecting fresh eggs 🧺🥚 (future farmers in the making!). We’ll be hosting a mini egg sale this Wednesday after camp: 3 dozen for $20!

Horse and Pony campers also practiced grooming techniques: brushing, caring, and bonding with their horses. Grooming isn’t just about keeping horses clean, it helps build trust between horse and rider 🤝

In the Garden Kitchen, farm campers made homemade pickles with Chef Kathy 🥒👩‍🍳 Pickling is one of the oldest food preservation methods, dating back over 4,000 years!

Meanwhile, Horse and Pony campers chopped up tasty oat treats for their equine partners 🐴🍎 because, let’s be honest, snacks make everything better. Even our horse and ponies agree!

We wrapped up the day with a relaxing wagon ride around the farm 🚜🌾a camper favorite and the perfect way to wind down after such a big day.

Day One was full of laughter, learning, teamwork, and just the right amount of dirt. If this is how we started, we can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings! ✨
